New-York.City

Okay, I am actually borderline embarrassed at how long this list is but I seriously love NYC and there’re so many places I love in this city that it’s so hard to choose just two or three in each section.

It’s no secret that I love to travel. It’s part of my job of course, but if I have the chance to travel – especially if it’s a new destination – I’ll most likely say YES. There’s something refreshing and inspiring about being away from home and around different cultures, people, energy. And while I really enjoy going new places, there are certain cities that I don’t think I could ever get sick of traveling to: Tokyo, Bali, Thaïland, Hong Kong New York City being a few.

Luckily I’ve been 6 times to NYC. It’s one of my favorites! It’s not or everyone, but for me and millions of others, it can’t be beaten. Which is why so many people live there and visit – it’s almost magnetic.

The options are unlimited. New York City is one of my favorite cities in the world, if not, my absolute favorite. It’s somewhere I long to live one day and a country and state I immediately feel at home and at peace in. I recently get a working visa for the USA for a period of three years and feel truly grateful for that. I guess I will spend more time in New-York than before. Fingers crossed, one day I will finally be able to live there, who’s know? At least, being able to work there as a private chef is seriously a dream coming true.

The city has so much magic to offer and energy to share. New-York inspire me in so many senses. This city is so magnetic. You can’t be bored there and that is probably why I love it so much. New-York doesn’t sleep and that’s just one part that makes up the unique buzz.
What I love also in NYC is that there is a strong passion for wellness, holistic living, and healthy diet. Many people take care of what they eat. Smoothies, cold-pressed juices, vegan meals, clean food, superfoods are easy to find. That is something you don’t really have either in Paris and London. And you know guys how much this is so important to me.

In New-York, I truly adore West Village and Greenwich Village. What I like Uptown is all the area around Central Park. The park against huge buildings, the lined streets, the great museums…
I have visited NYC 6 times in recent years and have most definitely formed a firm list of my favorite places to visit, stay, eat and shop. It’s a massive one so, I will try to mention only my favorites. I usually share all my addresses and tips with my friends but I thought this time I will share a guide on my blog. There are thousands of restaurants, bars, shops, and most places are open super early and close super late. Between the hustle and bustle of the streets, to the people running through Central Park, it’s a very lively, energizing city. People work hard and play harder. It’s really hard to feel unmotivated or down when you’re there!

Of course, it’s hard to say that they are the best places as New York has so many great places to offer, so please, keep in mind that this list is my favorite so far and keep in mind that there are so many places out there that I still want to try/do.
I really hope you will enjoy all the places I will share in this post and please don’t hesitate to comment to share your addresses too.

But First, few tips to keep in mind :
Get up early: many shops open super early, around 7 am. You are only in the city for a short time, so why not take full advantage? This is a great time to snap a few photos before everything gets worse.
Make reservations: No matter if it’s for a restaurant, an exhibition, a manicure, a massage … remember that the city is packed with people who probably have the same intentions as yours. My advice would be to book at least 3 weeks in advance. Since your time is limited, you want to make the most of it!
Avoid Time Square and try to organize your trip per day and per districts.
Don’t forget to get your Visa : ESTA even if you are in transit in the USA.

Please find here all my favorite adresses all around New-York City.

It’s hard to recommend a hotel more than another one as budgets are so different. I usually stay in comfortable hotels with a spacious room, well situated and with a nice ambiance. But that’s only my personal choices. There are so many options out there that it will not be a problem at all to pick one. Book in advance if you plan to stay in a popular hotel or a boutique hotel. They can be booked months in advance.

PARK HYATT

THE MADE HOTEL

1 HOTEL BROOKLYN BRIDGE
Ultra Canon. 20/20. Chouchou. Mention très bien. RAS. Je continue ?

THE EVELYN
Canon hein ?!

THE STANDARD

THE HOXTON HOTEL

New York is without any doubts one of the best destinations for all coffee lovers Coffee is easily one of my favorite ways to start my morning, to be honest. There’s just something about starting my day off with a hot cup of Americano and a plate of fresh fruits that motivates me to get things done. Thought NYC is known for their variety of restaurants, I’d like to highlight some of my favorite cafes and coffee shops. Being someone who likes to take photos, I made sure to include some of the most beautiful coffee shops in the city.
I highly recommend to visit them no matter if you want to sit down or just grab a coffee and go.
I will not give a specific description for each place because they all have their magic and if I can recommend one thing is to go and watch people lives.

ABC KITCHEN   : Vibrations végétales, goûts et simplicité.
This place is definitely a Hot Spot for Hit Girls. The restaurant honors veggies and plays with them to create delicious dishes. It’s simple and tasty.
GRAMMERCY TAVERN :Cusine joyeuse. Une institution à NYC.
A must in NYC, not my favorite for the food but I adore the ambiance.
COSME NYC:  Envolées Lyriques. Cuisine d’orfèvre.
If one day you are in New York to celebrate something, this is definitely the place to go. It’s a secret gem and the food is truly impressive. The best place to indulge.

SEL ROSE : Bon enfant. Ambiance feutrée et moderne. J’adore.
The decoration is so fun, so chic and glamour. It’s
definitely a place to visit. The food is not the best, but you will have a lovely time there.
LA MERCERIE : Bobo mais impardonnablement sympathique.
Super chic and fancy in a way but the vibes are suer friendly and casual.
ROBERTA’S PIZZA : Un must.
A MUSSSTTTT ! I usually don’t eat gluten and dairy but sometimes I can make an exception when the place worth it. Plus, when I travel, I have the impressions that sometimes I can go off my rules.
BOCAPHE
One of my favorite in NYC. It’s located in Soho and offers incredible French-Vietnamese dishes. The food there is not really healthy and you might have to indulge but I always find something light and delicious on the menu. This place is very popular.

Please click on every name to get the link of the places which are mentioned …

For those who know me very well, you probably already know that I adore Japanese foods and especially sashimi. I can’t really explain why I love them so much for sure it’s because they are so wise, so pure and generous in their texture. New York seems to have the same passion as I have and offers a wonderful high-quality « raw fish » cuisine.

Mes incontournables / My essentials

The list can be massive here also. I feel like I have missed a lot of things but there are just so many things to do and see. Every corner you turn has something to see. I really love New York and feel already super excited to go back there and explore more.
