written by Faustine 9 janvier 2021

I am very excited to share a project I was working on last December with Natura Bissé. The journey of Natura Bissé is an ever-unfolding story: intuition, passion, perseverance, investigation, and connecting with people are the essence of their skincare brand. A philosophy that matches my aim in life and my career. More than just being a Chef, I want to inspire, educate, and share my knowledge about Nutrition and how positive Nutrition, without restrictions, leads us to reach our dreams in life.
Our diet is also a fabulous tool to nourish our skin from the inside out. That is why I collaborate with Beauty brands to explore a topic that is precious to my heart: the link between skin health and Nutrition. Food hydrate, heal, purify, and plump our complexion. We have to be smart and play with colors and textures.

Natura Bissé is one of those rare brands that believe in the same motto as mine and truly believes in multi-disciplines power to create, innovate, and grow. It’s my attitude when it comes to working.

Detox & Nourish your skin Inside & Out

Natura Bissé x Faustine Hug

(January 2021)

As the largest organ in the body, our skin requires special nourishment, essential for skin health, which is our North Star when it comes to health. We can read our internal health just by looking at our complexion. A fascinating map to understand the journey of our lives, right?
More than just being a Chef, you know how much I am passionate about internal health and the intersection between what we eat, the powers of ingredients, and our complexions. I truly believe that food is our best tool to sparkle our life with joy, positivity, kindness, and glow. A little bit of good sense and you will master the combination of tastes. Trust me, it’s the best game ever. You just have to play with colors, textures, and tastes. I believe in the powers of natural ingredients and not in diets. It’s only a matter of choices. Essential vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and proteins are all working in tandem to ensure the skin is functioning at its optimum healthful glow. One rule: eat smart.
The right nourishment will improve the health and the vitality of your complexion. Our skin is constantly changing and many factors can impact negatively their natural radiance and natural beauty. We all know them: stress, pore digestion, fatigue, dehydration, and even hormonal imbalance, which seems a little bit general but we all experience it. Many excellent ingredients support the skin from the inside out and sparkle joy and positivity in our daily life.  It is fascinating to see how important food is when it comes to a holistic approach to wellness. The best diet we would advise you is the simplest one. A classic Mediterranean diet, filled with nourishing nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and well-sourced lean proteins based on whole plants and whole organic meat, fish and foods.

The liver is vital for the health of our skin. The skin can become a dumping ground for any toxins that the body is not able to eliminate. When the liver is overworked and less able to eliminate toxic waste products, our skin is in the form of breakouts. So, let’s take care of it too.

Toxins are stored in our blood every day from various foods, pollution, and stress. Detoxification is described as a process in which the body neutralizes or removes unwanted toxins. It’s also a great way to boosts the immune system, improves skin radiance, boost digestion, and regulates general wellbeing. Blood is the most essential bodily fluid that carries substances like hormones.

So, the best option to clear our complexion and gives that touch of natural glow that we are all looking for is to eat a rainbow of colors weekly with vibrant vitamins !

Are you ready? Let’s eat!
